Drug name: Oxolin
Active Ingredients:
Tetraoxotetrahydronaphthaline
Therapeutic actions: Oxolin is an antiviral drug for external application. It possesses viricidal action. Oxolin prevents reproduction of viruses in cells.
Indications: Ointment for external use only. Oxolin is used in treatment of welding dribbles (usual, flat and pointed candylomas). Also Oxolin is used against shingles, contagious mollusk, and psoriasis. Nasal ointment is used for preventive maintenance of influenza, treatment of virus rhinitis. Ocular ointment - for treatment of the eye viruses.
Contraindications and cautions: Hypersensitivity to Tetraoxotetrahydronaphthaline.
Adverse effects: Irritation of skin and mucous membrane of the nasal cavity, rhinorrhea. Dermatitis, the easily washed off dark-blue dyeing of skin.
Interactions: There are no observed interactions, but before taking Oxolin you should consult your local physician.
