Viferon
Drug name: Viferon
Active Ingredients:
Interferon alfa-2b, Acid Ascorbic, Tocoferol.
Therapeutic actions: Preparation has immunomodulatory and antiviral action.
Immunomodulatory action is connected with phagocytosis activation and stimulation of antibody and lymphoquin formation.
Antiviral action is caused by interaction with specific membranous receptors and RNA synthesis induction, and finally proteins opposing virus normal reproduction or liberation.
The complex composition of Viferon specifies a number of the new effects: in combination with tocopherol acetate and ascorbic acid the antiviral activity of human recombinant alpha -2 interferon increases in10-14 times, its immunomodulating action on T and B-lymphocytes is strengthened, the level of immunoglobulin E is normalized.
Indications: Viferon is used :
- in the complex therapy of different infectious- inflammatory diseases in the newly born children, including of those arrived early;
- in respiratory virus infections , pneumonia (bacterial, virus, , meningitis, sepsis, specific intrauterine infection (clamidiosis, herpes (including genital), , enteroviral infection, visceral candidiasis, mycoplasmosis;
- in the complex therapy of chronic virus hepatitis B, C, D in children, and also in the therapy of the chronic virus hepatitis of the high degree of activity and cirrhosis of the liver with the application of hemabsorption.
- as the interferon correction in pregnant females with the urogenital infection (clamidiosis), genital herpes, bacterial vaginism, candidiasis, mycoplasmosis.
Contraindications and cautions:
You should not use this medication if you have an allergy to cocoa butter.
