Drug name: Adonis brom
Active Ingredients:
- Adonidis vernalis glycoside and Potassium bromide
Therapeutic actions: Adonis brom is a medication of a plant origin which exerts sedative and cardiotonic action. The effects of Adonis brom are associated with Adonis active substances – glycosides. Besides glycosides, Adonis contains saponins, phytosterol, coumarins, adonitic alcohol. Glycosides of Adonis brom exerts positive inotropic effect, negative chronotropic and negative bathmotropic action. Adonis also possesses expressed calmative and diuretic effects. Potassium bomide is a sedative substance that decreases the excessive excitement of CNS(central nervous system).
Indications: Adonis brom is used to treat:
- Combine therapy of heart failure
- Neurocirculatory asthenia
- Neurosis
Contraindications and cautions: You should not use Adonis brom in the following conditions:
- Hypersensitivity to Adonidis vernalis glycoside and Potassium bromide
- Gastro intestinal damage
- Brachycardia
- Antrio ventricular blockage
- Angina
- Adams-Stokes-Morgagni syndrome
- recent heart attacks
- In children under 12 years old
