Drug name: Sedasen forte
Active Ingredients:
- Melissae officinalis herbae extract
- Menthae extract
- Valerianae rhizomatum extract
Therapeutic actions: Valerian, with its well-known active ingredients valepotriates and sesquiterpenes, exerts a tranquilizing effect on the central and vegetative nervous system.
It relieves neurasthenic disorders, reduces agitation, irritability and tension due to mental strain. In insomniacs, it restores normal sleep. Peppermint helps in mild manifestations of insomnia.
Melissa has an additional tranquilizing activity. Moreover, it stimulates the appetite, which is diminished in many subjects with neurasthenic disorders.
Indications: Neurasthenic and dystonic symptoms, such as:
- tiredness occurring immediately after getting up or after the slightest effort;
- irritability;
- emotional tension and anxiety;
- concentration and memory disorders caused by stage fright;
- insomnia;
- perspiration of palms and trembling of hands.
Contraindications and cautions: Hypersensitivity, arthrial hypotension, gastrical and duodenm ulcer.
