Spermatocidal action is associated with a ability of medication to damage the membranes of sperm cells(smermatozoids): flagellum and then head. As a result, spermatozoid is not able to fertilize the egg. Pharmatex exerts antibacterial action against Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Chlamydia spp., Trichomonas vaginalis, Herpes Zoster type 2, Staphylococcus aureus that can be transmitted through the sexual intercourse. Benzalkonium chloride does not act on Mycoplasma spp, Gardnerelia vaginalis, Candida albicans, Haernophilus ducreyl and Treponema pallidum. The preparation does not affect normal microflora of a vagina and a hormonal cycle. Indications: Pharmatex is used as a local contraceptive for each women of a childbearing age.
