Drug name: Triquilar
Active Ingredients:
- levonorgestrel - ethinyl estradiol
Indications: Triquilar is used as a to prevent unwanted pregnancy. Also sometimes the is prescribed to treat early acne in women of 14 years old and lastly for irregular menstrual periods.
Contraindications and cautions: Do not take Triquilar if you:
- suffer from thrombophlebitis or thromboembolia
- in recent past had heart failure, heart attack or stroke
- have or artery disease
- have liver disease, jaundice
- have liver tumors of different genesis
- have breast cancer
- are pregnant or plan to become pregnant
- have vaginal bleeding of unknown origin
- have vision impairment consult your doctor if use of Triquilar is possible.
Adverse effects: There are possible side-effects associated with this that can affect individuals in different ways. If a side effect is stated here, that does not necessarily mean the fact that all people using Triquilar will experience it or any other. Common side-effects include:
- Abdominal pain
- Acne

- if you have a breast disease possible breast pain and lumps.
Some rare but serious side-effects may manifest. You should stop the use of the and consult your doctor immediately:
- Severe sudden abdominal pain
- blood coughing
- severe headache
- loss of coordination
- vision impairment
- angina, or sudden leg pain
- inability to speak properly
- weakness or numbness
