Drug name: Canephron
Active Ingredients:
- Levisticum officinale , Centaurium erythraea, Rosmarinus officinalis
Therapeutic actions: Recent preclinical and clinical investigations with the drugs contained in Canephron®N (Levisticum officinale, Centaurium erythraea, Rosmarinus officinalis) have been shown important pharmacological mechanisms. Especially antioxidative effects may play a decisive role within its complex mode of action of the herbal combination. Thus, a wide range of infectious and inflammatory disorders of the lower and upper urinary tract is part of its broad field of application. More recent open and controlled clinical studies have been carried out in Russia, investigating the efficacy and safety of Canephron®N.
Indications:
- chronic cystitis and pyelonephrites;
- chronic glomerulonephritis, chronic interstitial nephritis;
- preventive maintenance of urolithic disease (after the removal of concrements).
Contraindications and cautions: Canephron can be assigned both for the basic therapy and as additional treatment.
During storage Solution can get dim and insignificant sedimentation is possible. however, this does not influence the activity of Canephron. The preparation should be shaken before use. During treatment with Canephron patients with diabetes mellitus it is necessary to keep in mind, that the mastered carbohydrates, which are contained in one lozenge, comprise less than 0.03. Solution contains 16.0-19.5% of ethanol; therefore it is not recommend to use this medicinal form after the successful treatment of chronic alcoholism.
