Active Ingredients:
- Tropicamide
Indications: Mydriacyl ophthalmic is used before eye surgery or eye examination to dilate the pupil.
Other uses of the can also be discussed with your local health care provider.
Contraindications and cautions: During the use of the Tropicamide be cautious in driving or operating machinery because the preparation makes your eyes sensitive to light and may cause blurred vision. The effects may last for 24 hours after utilization be sure to protect your eyes from direct sunlight.
Avoid using other eye medication unless your doctor tells you to do so.
Adverse effects: There are possible side-effects associated with this that can affect individuals in different ways. If a side effect is stated here, that does not necessarily mean the fact that all people using Mydriacyl will experience it or any other.
If an reaction occurs( hives; difficulty breathing; swelling) immediately call your doctor.
- Tell your doctor at once if you have any of these serious side effects:
- fast or uneven heart rate;
- stomach bloating or discomfort.
- hallucinations or unusual behavior (especially in children)
- Less serious side effects may be more likely to occur, such as:
- blurred vision
- swelling of the eyelids
- stinging and burning
- eye sensitivity to sunlight
