Tetracycline
Therapeutic actions: Tetracycline is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. As an ophthalmic preparation is used for treating eye infection. It works by stopping the function of 30S prokaritik ribosomes in a bacterial cell thus inhibiting its development and protein production.
Indications: Tetracyciline ophthalmic is used to fight different strains of bacteria that affect the eye. It can even be used with as additional therapy when systemic treatment is needed.
Contraindications and cautions: Tell your doctor if any of the following apply to you:
- You have liver impairment
- Renal failure
- Myasthenia gravis
- Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
- You are using hormonal contraception
- If you are pregnant or lactating.

Adverse effects: There are possible side-effects associated with this medicine that can affect individuals in different ways. If a side effect is stated here, that does not necessarily mean the fact that all people using tetracycline will experience it or any other.
May cause stinging and temporary blurred vision right after the administration. Local allergic reaction(dermatitis) and sunlight increased sensitivity may also occur for a short period of time.
If swelling, burning, stinging and irritation persists consult your doctor immediately.
