Drug name: Citramon
Active Ingredients:
- Acetylsalicylic acid,
- Ascorbic acid,
- Caffeine,
- Paracetamol
Therapeutic actions: Citramon possesses analgesic, febrifugal and psycho-stimulating action.
Indications: Pain syndrome of different genesis, Head and a toothache, migraine, neuralgia, myodynia, arthralgia, feverishness during flu and ARVI.
Contraindications and cautions: Hypersensitivity, erosive ulcer in acute phase, gastro-intestinal hemorrhage, aspirin initiated asthma, hemophilia, hemorrhagic diathesis, portal hypertension, beriberi K, glucozo-6-phosphatdehydrohynaze deficiency, simultaneous use of other kinds of analgesic means or nonnarcotic analgesics, surgery, pregnancy 1 and 3 trimester, period of lactation, young age, Use with caution in gout, liver disease, middle age. It is recommended to take Citramon with water or milk.
Adverse effects: The following are some of the side effects that are known to be associated with this medicine. Because a side effect is stated here, it does not mean that all people using this medicine will experience that or any side effect.
- Gastro –intestinal system: Loss of appetite, vomiting, nausea gastralgia, diarrhea, erosive ulcer, gastro-intestinal bleeding, liver or renal insufficiency.
- Allergic reactions: rash, angioneurotic shock, bronchismus.
- Other: Vertigo, headache, visual impairment, tinnitus, thrombocytopenia, hypo coagulation, hemorrhage.

Interactions: Tell your doctor or pharmacist what medicines you are already taking, including those bought without a prescription and herbal medicines, before you start treatment with this medicine.
Intensifies action of heparin, indirect coagulants, rezerpin, steroidal hormones and hypoglycemic medicinal means. Lowers effectiveness of spironolactone, furosemid, hypotensive and antipodagric means, which promote secretion of uric acid. Amplifies adverse effects of glucocorticoids, derivatives of sulfonilurine, metotrexat. Combinations of Citramon with barbiturates, antiepileptic means, zidovudin, rifampicin and ethanol should be avoided.
