Drug name: Pantogam
Active Ingredients:
Hopantenic acid
Therapeutic actions: Pantogam increases the brain's resistance to hypoxia and to action of toxic substances, it stimulates anabolic processes in the neurons, possesses anticonvulsive action, decreases the motor excitability. Pantogam also increases mental and physical capacity for work, normalizes the GABA metabolism in the chronic alcoholic intoxication.
Indications: Pantogam is used to treat:
- organic brains disorders including neuroinfections and craniocerebral injuries,
- schizophrenia with the organic cerebral insufficiency,
- the cerebrovascular insufficiency, caused by atherosclerotic changes of brain's vessels,
- myoclonic epilepsy, Parkinson's disease,
- extrapyramidal syndrom caused by the neuroleptics drug's treatment ,
- epilepsy with slowed mental processes (in the combination with the anticonvulsive drugs),
- psychoemotional overloads, reduction in the mental and physical capacity for work (for improving the attention and memorization);
- the neurogenic disorders of urination,
- children from the first days of life with the perinatal encephalopathy.
Contraindications and cautions:
You should not use this medication if:
- you have an allergy to Hopantenic acid
- you have any kidney disease
- you are pregnant
- you are breastfeeding
