Drug name: Benalgin
Active Ingredients:
- coffeine and thiamine hydrochloride,
- Metamizole sodium
Therapeutic actions: Benalgin is a combine medication. The active ingredients determine its pharmaceutical effect. Metamizole sodium possesses analgesic, antipyretic and anti inflammatory properties. Coffeine stimulates working capacity, reduces the feeling of tiredness and drowsiness, increases the intellectual indexes. Thiamine is essential vitamin for the normal activity of the CNS and peripheral nervous system.
Indications: Benalgin is used for the short-term relief of moderate to severe pain related to myalgia, myositis, polyneurithis, radiculitis, iaschias and lumbago.
Contraindications and cautions: Benalgin is contraindicated in the following conditions:
- Allergy to any of the medication ingredients
- Decreased liver function
- Kidney dysfunction
- Stomach and intestinal ulcers
- Stomach and intestinal bleedings
- Pregnancy
- Breastfeeding
- In children under 12 years old
- Anemia
- Alcohol abuse

- Allergic reactions: Quincke's edema, skin rash and itching
- Cardiovascular system: increased heart rate, chest pain.
