Brustan
Drug name: Brustan
Active Ingredients:
Ibuprofen, paracetamol.
Therapeutic actions: Combined anti-inflammatory drug which has analgesic and antipyretic effect, which is conditioned by inhibition of cyclooxygenase and modification in prostaglandin synthesis.
Indications: Pains of a various origin, including a toothache, a postoperative pain, pains at an osteochondrosis, etc.; rise in temperature at infectious diseases-inflammatory.

Recomended dosage: Adults : To 1 tablet 3-4 times day after meal Children in weight more than 30 kg: 1/2 tablets 3 times day.
Contraindications and cautions: Do not use Brustan in the following conditions: Stomach and duodenum ulcer (acute phase), liver and renal insufficiency, hemopoietic organ disease, deficiency in glucozo-6-phosphataldehyde, aspirin induced asthma, pregnancy, lactation period, hypersensitivity. Use with caution during: Bronchial asthma, bronchismus, cardiac insufficiency.
Adverse effects: The following are some of the side effects that are known to be associated with this medicine. Because a side effect is stated here, it does not mean that all people using this medicine will experience that or any side effect.
Gastro intestinal tract: dyspepsia, in rare cases- hepatotoxicity (long term treatment).
Central Nerve system: dizziness, visual impairment (Long term treatment)
Other: oedemas.

When using anticoagulants with indirect activity, blood coagulability should be monitored.
Using Brustan simultaneously with Furosemid and thiazide type diuretics can lower there urinative effect. Paracetamol interacts with different drugs which induce liver enzymes(certain soporific and antiepileptic drugs, rifampicin, ethanol) thus increasing it's liver toxicity.
Concurrent use of paracetamol enhances toxicity of chloramphenicol. Simoltaneous use of paracetamol and azidotimidin can cause neiropenia.
