Dioxizol
Drug name: Dioxizol -Darnitsa
Active Ingredients:
- Dioxidine and Lidocaine
Therapeutic actions: Dioxizol is a combine medication for the local application. Dioxidine possesses antibacterial activity against gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. Dioxidine works by damaging bacterial DNA. Diaxazol also exerts local anesthetic and moderate hyperosmolar action, arrest wound inflammation, stimulates the processes of reparation and activity of phagocytes in wounds.
Indications: Dioxizol is indicated for the local treatment of:
- Infectious wounds of a different localization and origin
- Burns(II-IV degree)
- Prophylaxis of pyoinflammatory processes while surgical intervention
The medication is used in the first phase of wound process, and also during second phase in granulating wounds with necrosis and inflammation.
Contraindications and cautions:
- Do not use Dioxizol in known hypersensitivity or allergy to any of the medication active ingredients.
- Talk with your doctor prior to applying Dioxizol if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
