Drug name: Cuplaton
Active Ingredients:
- Dimeticone
Therapeutic actions: Dimeticone is a surface-active polysiloxan. The preparation decreases the superficial tension, due to this effect the gas bubbles enlarge and are easily discharged. If dimeticone is used orally it decreases meteorism and abdominal bloating through promoting the gas discharge. The preparation is not absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract and is excreted without transformation with intestinal waste.
Indications: The preparation is used in symptomatic treatment of meteorism, dyspepsia, aerophagia. For other possible indications of dimeticone please consult your doctor.
Contraindications and cautions: The drug should not be used if a patient has experienced hypersensitivity to any components of the preparation. Cuplaton maybe used during pregnancy and lactation.
