Active Ingredients: vitamins and folic acid combination

Therapeutic actions: Vitamin B Complex works by providing vitamins and folic acid to the body to help meet nutritional requirements.

Indications: A dietary supplement for certain patients with high blood levels of homocysteine or kidney failure, or those who are on dialysis or do not receive the proper amount of vitamins from their diet. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Contraindications and cautions: Do not use Vitamin B Complex if you are allergic to any ingredient in Vitamin B Complex.Contact your doctor or health care provider right away if any of these apply to you.
Before taking Vitamin B Complex, tell your doctor if you:

  • are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding;
  • are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement;
  • have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances;
  • have anemia (eg, pernicious anemia);
  • are receiving dialysis.

Adverse effects: The following are some of the side effects that are known to be associated with this medicine. Because a side effect is stated here, it does not mean that all people using this medicine will experience that or any side effect.
Common side effects:

  • drowsiness;
  • nausea;
  • mild diarrhea.
