Active Ingredients:
- Metronidazole and miconazole
Miconazole exerts antifungal action. It is effective against dermatophitis, yeast fungus as well as some strains of Gram-positive bacteria. Miconazole works by interfering the synthesis of ergosterol, resulting in lysis of mycotic cells. Miconazole doesn't change PH and normal bacterial population in the vagina.
Indications: Ginomet is used to treat:
- Vaginal infections caused by anaerobic bacteria protozoa, or Candida albicans following any gynaecological surgery
- Trichomoniasis
- Lambliasis
- Non specific vaginitis
Contraindications and cautions:
You should not use Ginomet in the following conditions:
- Blood disease
- Leucopenia
- Epilepsy
- Kidney failure
- Pregnancy
- Breastfeeding
- to metronidazole or miconazole
- Children
- Use Ginomet with caution in
Warning!
- Regularly check your blood levels while taking this medication
- It is recommended to avoid sexual intercourse while taking Ginomet.
- Metronidazole may cause false-positive TPI test
- Avoid alcohol drinking while taking Ginomet

- Discharges from the vagina
- Burning numbness, itching, irritation in the vagina
- Pelvic discomfort
- Abdominal pain
- Unpleasant taste
- Sensation of furry tongue
- Stomach disturbances including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or constipation
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Leucopenia
- Numbness in the extremities
- Darkened urine
- Menstrual discomfort or irregularity
- Vaginal spotting
- Swelling in the vulva
